Wow, Why Aren’t More People Doing This!? What a Great Creative Outlet!

The National Autistic Society (NAS) in the UK was founded in 1962, and has since worked toward providing support, education, and training for people with autism in order to give them the ability to live independent, empowered lives.

One of NAS's programs, called Artrack, provides special training and studio facilities to established and emerging artists on the autism spectrum. "Art benefits people with autism," says Artrack's art coordinator Darrell Hawkins. "It allows them to express themselves, and create something they can be proud of."

Find out more about the amazing work being done by Darrell and the folks at NAS!

OUR FAVORITE PROJECTS
Help Find a Lost Child with Autism
Children on the spectrum engage in many behaviors that can be incredibly stressful to their families, but among the most stressful is wandering, "eloping", or bolting — that is, leaving a safe space without the knowledge of caregivers. Donations through this Gift That Gives More™ provide one month of a locating service via the FOUND program, using a wristband transmitter, to a family with a child with autism. Thank you!
You can help find a lost child.
